Your sound isn't necessarily Industrial. But the soul of this piece of music is heavily seeded in the ideas of industrial. A great wrong. Blatant propaganda being force fed to the masses. Evil corporations. The man beating us down. Exposing bullshitters for the bullshitters they are.

Pretty good in theory, not so much in practice. My advice is pick a bigger battle than employee protocol.

It's part of a larger marxism/historical materialist album that me and a bud are working on, and thanks for your input. I decided to make this as a statement of what I was hearing in the video because it's what I felt they were actually trying to say deep down. In the grand scheme of things there are bigger battles that I do hope to tackle as well though.

You sure do know how to put the grind back into Heartgrinder.

Anchorwind responds:

Revisit Relevance, friend. As cliche as it sounds, sometimes looking back helps us move forward.

Boy, this turned out to be quite a fun track to listen to. Its fun yet maintains a sense of dread somehow. I'm sure the soundscape is responsible for that.

Anchorwind responds:

Thanks. It's difficult to try to balance both the "Mother Machine" and "The Afterparty" bits simultaneously sometimes. Glad it works here and there.

The percussion reminded me of Perfect Drug. Overall, I really enjoyed. To your playlist it goes.

Anchorwind responds:

Indeed, I can see some commonalities. I'm glad to have impressed; will try to continue to do so.

You made some really nice changes to this.

Very good.

Anchorwind responds:

Thank you kindly.

As you are already aware, this isn't my cup of tea.

With that needlessly said, a lot of the smaller sounds throughout made me appreciate this a bit more. Especially that reversed bit that comes between 1:00 and 1:01.

Anchorwind responds:

I think that's what Mother Machine is, really: small sounds and loud rhythms.

I'm surprised the Industrial purists out there haven't complained about the obvious switch to Dubstep.

I'm no stranger to genre borrowing. As long as it doesn't sound forced (and it doesn't) it usually pans out. (and it did) Your introduction of the dubby elements at 1:10 helped lubricate the transition of styles. It makes you wonder where exactly this track is going to take you.

Good job.

Spoonerang responds:

I appreciate what you've said.

Thanks for the review!

There are some interesting note patterns in this piece. And the only thing I feel is missing, is a soft drum beat and maybe some kind of simple bass riff underneath. Even the hiccups in your playing have charm. It never lets you get 100% comfortable with it. For me, it's more of a ride that way.

LasciviousGork responds:

I need to get the boys together and turn this into a real piece. I feel it needs that blues singer vocals and a real drumset behind it to make it shine, but have it all recorded at once to keep it sounding gritty and real.

And I believe you shouldn't get 100% comfortable with a song, ever. I'm listening to At The Heart Of It All as I write this.

This gave me a vision of the few remaining humans after M.M.s will had come to fruition. I see them somewhere that's untouched my man or machine. The last remaining sanctuary for life.

For now, they merely survive. Scavenging through the wastelands left by M.M. and her minions. After much searching, the last of mankind find materials for one of the oldest musical instruments. The drum. Let the celebration of life begin!

I hear hope in this track. But the remaining M.M. sounds imply that the war isn't over. Perhaps this is the calm before the storm. A nice little distraction as M.M. closes in to take care of some loose ends.

Anchorwind responds:

As always, I thoroughly enjoy your feedback. This was no exception.

Change forever.
